Vignetting

Trying my hand out at some photoshop techniques, this one is called a vignette. I've also included some updated pics of the other dogs so they won't feel left out. Pictured are Lola and Molly (napping) and of course Jack with Danielle in the vignette. And not to be forgotten, Bunny in the Bluebonnets!

More of Jack

Meet Jack

I swear I'm going to start calling my daughter Ellie May Clampitt, she just HAS to make every stray a pet. When she came home with this little guy he was only supposed to spend a night or two until her boyfriend came to pick him up (he was supposed to be for D.J.) So far no sign of the boyfriend, the puppy has a name, an appointment for his puppy shots and pictures in the family album. Think maybe he's staying???

Bill's Car Wash

Bill's Car Wash. This is unbelievable !

Bill owns a company that manufactures and Installs car wash systems. Bill's company installed A car wash system in Frederick , Maryland . The problem started when the new owner complained To Bill that he was losing significant amounts of money From his coin machines each week. He went as far as to accuse Bill's employees of having a Key to the boxes and ripping him off. Bill just couldn't Believe that his people would do that, so they setup a Camera to catch the thief in action. Well, they did catch Him on film! That's a bird sitting on the change slot of The machine The bird had to go down Into the machine, and back up inside to get to the money! That's three quarters he has in his beak! Another amazing thing is that it was not just one bird -- there were several working together. Once they identified the thieves, they found over $4000 in quarters on the roof of the car wash and more under a nearby tree. And you thought you heard of everything by now!!!

Daily Dose of Funny

We were dressed and ready to go out for the New Years Eve Party. We turned on a night light, turned the answering machine on, covered our pet parakeet and put the cat in the backyard. We phoned the local cab company and requested a taxi. The taxi arrived and we opened the front door to leave the house. The cat we put out in the yard, scoots back into the house. We didn't want the cat shut in the house because she always tries to eat the bird. I go out to the taxi, while my husband went inside to get the cat. The cat runs upstairs, with my husband in hot pursuit. Waiting in the cab, I don't want the driver to know that the house will be empty for the night. So, I explain to the taxi driver that he will be out soon, 'He's just going upstairs to say goodbye to my mother.'
A few minutes later, he gets into the cab. 'Sorry I took so long,' he said, as we drove away. 'That stupid bitch was hiding under the bed. I had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out! She tried to take off, so I grabbed her by the neck. Then, I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from scratching me. But it worked! I hauled her fat ass downstairs and threw her out into the back yard!' The cab driver hit a parked car.

New Diggs

Not to sure that Bunny and Lola are enjoying their new diggs! But it has been so nice during the day we deciede to let them out to play. I think Lola enjoys it more than Bunny. Bunny just wants to come back in and sleep on the couch. Lola has tripled in size since we got her. She used to be smaller than Bunny, now look at her!

Back in the Saddle

"I'm back in the saddle again, back where a friend is a friend.....lalalalala!" Oh I can't remember how the song goes, but I am back in saddle! After about a year off, I'm finally getting back to the business of barrel racing. Just finished an hour or so workout with "D"! I'm gonna be sore tomorrow, but no pain no gain. Right? Hopefully we will be back in sync enough to compete in the first NBHA of the year next month. This picture was taken on Halloween of "07" Didn't do to much competing after that!

Squirrelly Friends

Finnegan the squirrel The moral of this story is the best part!!!Debby Cantlon, who plans to release Finnegan, the young squirrel, back into the wild, bottle-fed the infant squirrel after it was brought to her house. When Cantlon took in the tiny creature and began caring for him, she found herself with an unlikely nurse's aide: her pregnant Papillion, Mademoiselle Giselle.Finnegan was resting in a nest in a cage just days before Giselle was due to deliver her puppies.Cantlon and her husband watched as the dog dragged the squirrel's cage twice to her own bedside before she gave birth.Cantlon was concerned, yet ultimately decided to allow the squirrel out and the inter-species bonding began.Finnegan rides a puppy mosh pit of sorts, burrowing in for warmth after feeding, eventually working his way beneath his new litter mates.?Two days after giving birth, mama dog Giselle allowed Finnegan to nurse; family photos and a videotape show her encouraging him to suckle alongside her litter of five pups. Now, Finnegan mostly uses a bottle, but still snuggles with his 'siblings' in a mosh pit of puppies, rolling atop their bodies, and sinking in deeply for a nap.Finnegan and his new litter mates, five Papillion puppies, get along together as if they were meant to.Finnegan naps after feeding.Finnegan makes himself at home with his new litter mates, nuzzling nose-to-nose for a nap after feeding.Send this along to brighten someone's day!Wouldn't it be nice if we could all get along like Fi nnegan and the gang?MORAL OF THE STORY: Keep loving everyone, even the squirrelly ones !

No Riding Today

Though the icicles have since melted, it is still a bit to cold and muddy for riding today. Much to Danielle's dismay the horses will have to stay warm and dry in the barn for another day!

Lola

Meet the newest addition to the Funny Farm; her name is Lola. She was thrown out on the side of the road along with a Shitzu (not sure if that's spelled right) Unfortunatly, the Shitzu ran and couldn't be caught; but Lola was saved! We aren't sure what kind of dog she is exactly; Black Lab, Pit, Boxer?? I'd love any input anyone might have on her breeding. So far she is adjusting well to the other critters, and we are "trying " to adjust to all the puppy puddles and chewed up socks, sofas, tupperware etc. etc. etc.

We lost Belle; our loyal friend

Yesterday we lost our 11 year old German Shepard Belle. We aren't sure exactly what happened, but we think she must have had a heart attack or aneurysm, something along those lines. We let her out to play and shortly after we found her lying dead on the front lawn. She had not been ill and was in great spirits when we let her out. She was a dear friend and will be dearly missed.
